THE HIRING PROCESS

	Recruitment test performed by the Civil Service Committee to be advertised in news media.
	Criminal History background is run on each applicant.
	Qualified applicants then take the written test and agility test.
	10 eligible candidates are chosen by the Civil Service Commission.
	Candidates are interviewed by the Chief of Police and Deputy Chief of Police.
	MMPI (Psychological Testing) is administered at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy.
	Candidate must pass a drug screen.
	Candidate must pass a physical.
